NYC Garbage
New York City based artist, Justin Gignac, invites us all to reflect about garbage in a very unusual way.
In 2001 Gignac decided to prove his co-worker wrong in the importance packaging has when it comes to selling something. His approach was rather peculiar, but nonetheless successful, for nine years after he decided to package and sell garbage he found on the streets he has sold over 1.300 NYC Garbage cubes that reside in 29 different countries over the world.
The cubes have Special Editions according to special events/dates like Obama's Inauguration, or Opening day at Yankee Stadium.
